Kevin was born and raised in Horry County. He graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College in 1986.  Kevin’s political career started in 2001 when he was elected to the Horry County Council where he served until 2008 representing district 10. While serving on County Council he was a former Vice Chairman, Former Public Safety Chairman and a Board Member of the Waccamaw Economic Opportunity Council. In 2013 Kevin was elected to the South Carolina House Of Representatives for District 105 and he is still currently serving.  Kevin is also on the Labor Commerce and Industry Committee and The Rules Committee. He is Vice Chairman of The Grand Strand Area Study, a Board Member for NBSC / Synovus - Loris Branch, and he was recently appointed to the Horry County Flood Committee.  Kevin has three daughters and lives with his wife Tina on his family farm in Loris, SC.
